Four Swords – Anniversary Edition

[3DS] - News: Nintendo give away a splendid little title on the eShop. Grab yours now!

Platform: 3DS, DSi, DSi XL

Nintendo has put out a nice gift to owners of the 3DS, DSi and DSi XL this week. A free downloadable copy of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords. You can download it now from the Nintendo eShop and it will be available, free of charge, until February 2012 so go grab it!

For those who don’t know about the Four Swords, it was originally bundled on the Game Boy Advance remake of ‘Links Awakening’ (which I still have lying around somewhere). Back in the day though, I didn’t know many people with a GBA, so never really had the chance to play it, you need a minimum of 2 players to actually get out of the first area. Luckily this new version has a single player mode which teams you up with a computer controlled character making finishing the game a doddle.

The games full of charm and fun. You can't go wrong for free!

The graphics are still the same¬†from what I remember, with the addition of the bottom screen holding some extra information. On the 3DS it looks slightly blurred just like all the other DS/DSi games, but it certainly doesn’t detract from the charm of this classic.

So what are you waiting for? Go get it! It’s short, but sweet and a real charming co-op adventure.

Cheers Nintendo.

Nathan loves tactical shooters, RPG's and Bro-Ops games. Some all-time favourites of his are Black and White 2, Postal 2, the Rainbow Six series and Pokemon. He also loves playing guitar and fishing with his dad, when Lozzy isn't busy making him do stuff...
